laughter, the best medicine You know how some things just cracks u up. And 2 funny incidents in 3
days have left me tearless from all the laughing because I fucking tear
each time.
Incident 1: Zhiwei and I slacking at heartland mall. There was Ultraman Live@heartland mall ok!! That was already funny enough, seeing that live size person in costume doing his Ultraman moves(the stupid T, the one arm raised). Then a monster came out, they fought, cooler Ultraman with horns came up and assisted weak Ultraman. Monster defeated. Photo session with kids. So after one particular group of kids, this kid high-fived with the cooler Ultraman and shook hands with it/him. As he walked down stage, the other Ultraman reached out his/its hand for the little boy to shake. LITTLE BOY DAOS ULTRAMAN. So he's made to wear a stupid costume, do stupid moves and act stupidly in front of so many people, and he still gets dao-ed by a ltitle boy. Damn it was funny as well we both started laughing at the same time. Seriously. Damn imba. Incident 2: After training, makan at the coffeeshop near Indian Temple. Yijie was shooting ice at me, I got pissed off and rammed his head with a french fry. He looked up at the moment of impact, in the process flicking the little piece of potato into..... A waitress holding serving a fresh new bowl of XO Fish Head Noodles which costs $5. The waitress diao them instead of me. FUCKING. Can't control my laughter really. I almost choked to death on my teh. Wa........ Ok 2 funny incidents I feel I have to keep somewhere. After all. it's the small things in life that really brighten up your day! BYE. x japan again! I was at this forum for football manager players, and I randomly posted
a topic in The Pub, where you talk about everything that is not FM.
Asked the people there who they thought was the best band. For me, X
Japan. DUH. And immediately after me someone from Israel posted, "X
Japan for me too."
WOW. From Israel. Now people. Those who haven't, you have to expose yourself to X Japan's works sometime soon man. It's pretty sad how we as Asians don't give the band the recognition they deserve. They are legendary, yet most people I know don't give a hoot about X. I just think instead of just listening to mainstream genres people can just sidestep and tune in to some visual kei heavy metal stuff. Like X Japan. Especially you Asians. The human minds works in a twisted way. It always chooses to go against norms. It's like the Crumpler or Zinc bags. I see so many people having them, that it becomes a turn-off instantly, and I will die if I ever have them. The more I see people carrying them, the more I hate them. So maybe, I shall just let you guys discover the magic of X Japan yourself and stop droning about how awesome they are. But still you can't stop me from.... last song of X Japan's last concert The Last Live. Feel the magic, the passion, and the sorrow. And you've got to listen to the guitars man, although I don't know how to play a single chord this is just so pleasing to the ears. It's not like any regular tune, it's filled with ups and downs, there's a climax, there's emotions. Damn it, it's fucking awesome. X JAPAN!!! Make a comment | Permalink Monday, December 11, 2006
Star? Awards
Fucking I had to retype this entry so if it sounds a little to angsty just bear with it.
Ok I was watching the 10pm news last night(yes I was bored to such an extent) and I saw the results of the Star Awards, which just ended. The few familiar faces came on screen, Edmund Chen, Tay Ping Hui, Chen Liping, and also Li Nanxing and Ivy Lee for bagging the ultimate prizes. But then the camera showed a chap who looked lost on stage, like someone brought him to the toilet to pee and left him there. Ah yes, I remembered. The superstar guy, the blind chap. It was reported he won the Best Newcomer Award. Well, I bet he couldn't see his win coming. But what the fuck is going one?!I just can't fucking stand the judges and people who voted. I mean, come on, what can he do? Oh wait a minute, let's check out the versatality of his acting. Let me see, he can act as a blind man, a blind man, and yes, A BLIND MAN AGAIN!! What, an amazing array of roles! He should get an Oscar! Seriously, people. So that person got his award for being who he was for the larger part of his life? What kind of message are people trying to convey? To think that category was one of the most fiercely contested. Wake up, Singapore! If I were a young budding actor nominated for that award and I lost it to him, I would seriously, seriously contemplate, a) breaking my legs and then acting as a young budding actor who lost to a blind guy in the Star awards and then broke his legs in grief bla bla bla...... b) blow myself up and then act as a young budding actor who..... Oh wait, I would be dead by then. Damn it. c) come up with a plot to napalm the next star awards if the guy ever wins anything What's next? Osama Bin Laden winning an Oscar for acting as a terrorist who masterminded the 911 attacks in a show re-enacting on the actual attacks? Come on. I'm not trying to say he doesn't deserve any credit, but acting as well, himself, doesn't exactly say alot about his acting skills. Charlize Theron won an Oscar starring as serial murderer and prostitute Aileen Wurnous in Monster, putting on loads of makeup and additional pounds to look like the real person. That's class. Jamie Foxx also bagged an Oscar for acting as blind(not again!) musician Ray. For the uninitiated, Foxx is not blind. That's quality. Even closer to home, Jay Chou won a Best Newcomer Award for being a tofu delivery boy/midnight car racer, in the process having to potray himself as a boy who lived with his abusive dad, but in real life he grew up with his mum for majority of his life. That's versatality. And here we have, right in our tiny tropical island, blind actor wins award for being blind person. Wonderful. Now you see why we'll never reach Hollywood? I have to quote chermin. "yong nao bu yong niao." use brain dont use bird! PEACE OUT. Make a comment | Permalink Sunday, December 10, 2006
Ahh, the magic. The next time you feel bored on a bus/train ride, and the sound of X
Japan booming into your ears through your fanciful earpieces gets a
little stagnant, feel the magic around you. That ought to ease the
boredom a little.
See, I find the bus or train a very magical place. Because it's one place where people who lead different lives and people who have different backgrounds get together, irregardless of race, religon and beliefs. I mean, how often is it do you see so many different people get together and put their lives in the hands of one single body, in this case the bus or train driver, or the stupid computer powering the NEL. WOW. What with all the shit that's going around, namely terrorism and racism, it's indeed comforting to know that the clearest example of world peace is right under our noses. Amazing, isn't it? Yeah amazingly full of shit I am. Moving on.... I'm frigging sleep deprived. I'm so bloody tired recently, even though it's the weekends, where I'm supposed to get my rest. I think I slept like only 6 hours for the past 2 days. Damn it. Plus I'm also topic-deprived, hence all the talk about my sleep deprivation here. Damn feels so screwed blogging nonsence here. I need th bitch about something hard, to get my life back on track. LOL. GRR BYE. Make a comment | Permalink Thursday, December 07, 2006
Football Manager, again! Yesterday was sucha good day.
First, I installed FM7. All the discussing by Kuoloon and Siva reignited my passion in this wonderful game. The thrill of signing new players, getting the board's approval, winning over the fans, bringing home all the silverware. Ahhh, those were the days. Time to relive the past glory. Time for Siangyee Ballack to show the world what he can do! Mwahaha. And then, I called Fred while installing cos it was taking very long. He told me his bro-in-law had F.R.I.E.N.D.S dvds!! YES. I was still filled with regret that I didn't just buy the complete 10 seasons in Malaysia and now I can watch it all free of charge! Nice. Now I have F.R.I.E.N.D.S to watch, FM7 to play, soccer to train, and integration to fiddle with. How good can life can! Should really count my lucky stars! LOL. But I think I'm falling sick. Ok no, the power of the mind. I AM NOT FALLING SICK. I'm as fit as Roberto Carlos. I think I'm boring people off with all this soccer talk. I DUN CARE. HAHA. byebye. BACK! I'm back from the trip!
Lots of fun, lots of shopping, lots of lessons learnt, but most importantly....... I OVERCAME MY FRIGGIN FEAR BY RIDING THE TOMAHAWK!! I remembered blogging about it when I went sunway lagoon 2 years back. Didn't had the balls to do it then. But now, with Kamalesh as my ride partner, I stepped up and took the ride of my life. Thank god my balls didn't drop. But my throat went with all the screaming of "WHAT THE FUCK!!" and "ENOUGH, ENOUGH!!" Thinking back, it was pretty hilarious and gut wrenching. Too bad I was too seh to take the Viking Ship which went one full full circle. One thing about being in M'sia is that we have to abstain from using the term Mats, because you risk getting gangbanged in a, well, muddy environment. LOL. And the food is oh-so-cheap. Kenny Roger's, Dunkin donuts, Waffle king, Pizza hut, and A & W all damn cheap! If I had more time I think I'll come back much heavier. The satays there are like 20cents each. To think I only bought 20. ZZ. Thinking of it just makes me drool. And the trip to Sungei Wang filled my closets a little more. Got a nice pair of shoes which kuoloon remarked, "finally something decent, siang". Yes, I know my taste rocks. Woohoo. And I got a shirt with a monkey saying F*CK YOU and giving the finger. Heehee. Last but not least, my bargaining skills sucks. Ha ha ha. Sigh. It's all over already. As cliche as it sounds, it felt like only yesterday when I boarded the bus headed towards the customs. HAIZ. alright alright enough about msia. time to go. BYEE! Make a comment | Permalink Tuesday, November 28, 2006
Back on 3rd Dec I'm leaving for Malaysia! Will be back on 3rd Dec. Whee. Shall get some
new clothes and shoes, because, as usual, I only have the urge to shop
when overseas, and it's also when my parents are very lenient with
their money. Heh. Shall look out for ORGINIAL F.R.I.E.N.D.S dvds. And
also X Japan. Singapore doesn't sell their music anymore wtf!!
Being with the soccer team has taught me many important lessons, like working with and as a team, the importance of team spirit, team bonding and hard work. And of course it being my second proper CCA; the other being badminton in pri school, I finally have seniors to look up to and juniors to set a role model for! WOOHOO. That is one feeling I truly forget and miss. Fuck table-tennis. Actually no, because tt trainings actually present an oppurtunity for me to hone my soccer skills. HAHA. One important lesson I'm taking with me is that excuses are the bane of all successes. Everytime I'm approaching the 8th lap of a 12 lap run, excuese like stiches, cramps, stomachache start to form in my mind. It makes me lose my focus on running, and sometimes slow me down or even stop me. It's all about perserverance, about determination and fighting spirit. No one's gonna stop you if you're hell bent on finishing. The more you think of these excuses, the less likely you'll finish whatever you're doing, and the lesser you're going to improve. Now, whenever I train, I sort of treat myself like a dog. I'm at the beck and call of the coach. 20 laps, I run. Maybe slow, but I will fucking finish. Self-trainings are a no-brainer. I'll come no matter rain or shine. Even after strenous sessions. I do it. At most die. But at least I die like a man. Quite crude thinking, but who cares. I'm still alive! :) JUST WISH I CAN TRANSFER THIS MENTALITY WHEN DOING MATH & CHEM. *&*(&!()*!@*)$*!! BYE. what a joke Make a comment | Permalink Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Video Technology in Soccer? This has been a THE debate of the last decade. And from how I look at
it, it's just a parody of extreme stupidity at its epitome, coupled
with old men sticking to their rusty worn-out fucked up guns and a
certain old man who's more interested in seeing women soccer players
decked out in bathing suits than the general welfare of the global
football world.
Alright, so here's my stand. Those who think video technology spoils the game, well, here's something for you. ![]() I mean, COME ON. How can you, in this age and technology, still deny that video technology will disrupt the run of play, cause delays, and fuck the beautiful game up. YOU are fucked up. How will video technology disrupt game play? Erm, it takes 10 seconds for a fouth official to look at the incident on video 2 times, and with such crystal clear footages, another 5 seconds to make a correct decision, and that's all! How can 15 seconds change the ebb and flow of a football game? Get a brain, hello! Let me tell you what can ruin the BEAUTIFUL game. When Gio Van Bronkhorst gets wrongfully sent off because the stupid referee thought he dived when all he did was just fall over accidentally. When the linesman took away from Pedro Mendes' what could be the goal of the season/decade/century at Old Trafford when he lobbed Roy Carrol from the halfway line. And last but not least, when Luis Garcia's goal against Chelsea was adjudged to have crossed the line despite videos showing it being ON the line. Alas, Istanbul? And then there're those high-tier idiots, who I can't find another word to descibe because my vocab is limited to idiots, morons, fuckers, but yeah, people who claim that all this controversy is what makes the game worth watching. These are the same people who flip open the papers everyday hoping that Janet Jackson has another wadrobe malfunction so they can jack off to images of her nipple. FUCK OFF! How can such travesty make the game interesting? Here's a story for you. Liverpool gets all their goals ruled out for offside because the officials were having a "bad day", now tell me, how many fans are going to just quit watching football? The people who say this say it because bad decisions haven't hurt them yet. Wait till your favourite club, whatever shag fuck shitfag club you support, gets a taste of Poll-like refereeing. See if you're still singing the same tune. Picture this. 10 years down the road, when tennis fans are reading about the glorious achievements of Roger Federer winning his 347382742389th grand slam, and rugby fans are reading about the All-Blacks having just had their 3rd gold castle built from all the silverware they've won, and then you dumbshits soccer turds who reject video technology are reading about how Chelski are denied their 10th title when Drogba's goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside(not necessarily bad), which results in them losing the title to Luton Town, who by the way, have claimed that the bung scandal was started to distract people from playing football while they climb their way up. But if we accept video technology, we will be reading about Arsenal extending their 235729072 match unbeaten run, about Didier Drogba being slapped with a 45 match ban for diving and then claiming he wan't when VIDEOS showed no one was around him, and also Graham Poll recieving the Honorary Referee award for most number of correct decisions in a game. Now, isn't that a good day for everyone? And so, unless we all accept the wonderful tool that is video technology, football will just sink to the gallows of cheating, incorrect decisions and plenty of what-ifs. Hols Bols And so the holidays have started, and I'm supposed to start studying
too, but no, I haven't! Zzz. But I will have to soon, because this time
I really see and feel the need to do so. As are fucking next year, and
being a JC kid if I don't do well I'll end up like, wow. A level 25
Pikachu challenging the Elite Four. In the Pokecenter. Grr.
I just realised, I am less vain than I was last time! Which must be a good thing, isn't it? Because siangyee was renowned in 4E for not letting people mess his hair, although people like tiffanie and kayee couldn't care less. Every morning last year I'll wake up and style my hair, however tired or shagged I am. Then I'll drag my ass to school, where every now and then I'll go toilet with Keat, pass by 4A and bring Loy and Abel along to the toilets, and will just do my hair again. Wow. I sure was a busy boy last time. But now..................... I don't even style my hair in the morning. I don't even bother in school. I see some of my teammates doing it and it really reminds me of myself last time. Only now I can't really be bothered. I don't really care how people, or girls, for the matter, think of me. Because like it or not, that's what I'll look like in bed, so you just gotta buy it, don't you? LOL. Whatever. I'm just plain lazy. Maybe it's because I'm in a scholar class, and their influence have rubbed off on me. Because almost all of them don't bother, except for KC. Or maybe, tsam's warning that wax will spoil your hair has taken it's toll on me. But I really think it's because...... the girl of my dreams ain't in SAJC so who cares? HAHA. byebye. i fucking need a break. Make a comment | Permalink
